For example….
No one can spoil my day more thoroughly than Marjorie Taylor Greene. She cuts an unremarkable and unsettling figure in the dimly lit corridors of power. Her narrow eyes flicker with the sparks of unfounded fears she stokes in public gatherings and private meetings alike.
With a slick veneer that barely conceals her ignorance, she clings to her positions like a barnacle to a ship’s hull, spouting archaic views and alarmist rhetoric with an air of conviction that belies her scant understanding of ANY issues at hand. Her speeches, a mashup of buzzwords and paranoia, are theatrical performances designed to distract from her lack of substance and insight, making her a puppet in a suit, mouthing the words that resonate with the basest instincts of her audience. At the same time, she remains blissfully unaware of the actual depth of any of the various problems she claims to address.
In her latest idiotic post on X, she featured a video clip of Joe Biden and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez walking hand-in-hand on the grounds of the White House with the following statement:
The only thing I see that is insanity in this scenario is Marjorie Taylor Greene, AKA “Midge.”
Her portrayal of AOC as colluding with Joe Biden and Congressional leadership is not just vague but also baseless. She implies a level of cooperation but does not substantiate her claim with any evidence, crafting a narrative of collusion where none exists and flat-out lying about the Green New Deal.
Paragraph 2 above, “It’s because she just got the Green New Deal!”
um…no, she didn’t.
The Green New Deal remains a proposal, not legislation, passed into law. The world would be much better if it were law, but it isn’t. Midge dispensed a gross misrepresentation that was intended to mislead. It’s what she does better than the best gaslighter.
She depicted the Civilian Climate Corps as an entity designed to “police and terrorize” industries. Another lie: The initiative is about job creation in conservation and renewable energy, not enforcement or punitive actions against industries!
Midge further asserts that the Climate Corps intends to target specific industries, such as oil and the auto industry, with punitive measures, which is nothing more than a scare tactic. The Green New Deal is about sustainability and resilience, not punishment!
Then, her claim about Speaker Johnson’s failure to block appropriations for climate initiatives shows a misunderstanding of how appropriations work. Appropriations result from complex Congressional negotiations, not a single individual's decisions.
Her use of the term “absolute insanity.” is an emotional outburst, not a substantive critique. Insanity is repeating the same nonsense, as Midge does, over and again while expecting a different outcome!
Greene’s approach not only muddies the factual waters but also sows division. November elections cannot come soon enough! The second place ribbon for Stupid Posts goes again to Midge for this one:
Before I proceed, I would like to express that I genuinely wish ignorant Midge would watch this video by Dr. Karen Tang, who brings up the issue of intersexes, that is, someone born with both male and female sexual characteristics. About 1 in 2000 babies are born with both intersexes. The brain is part of one’s gender, which even doctors recognize.
In the swirling controversy surrounding the so-called “Protect Children’s Innocence Act,” we find ourselves confronted not with a shield for our youth but a misleadingly named legislative effort that undermines the very essence of care and compassion.
The bill, ostensibly designed to shield, actually targets gender-affirming medical care, a practice grounded in extensive research and backed by countless medical professionals. This decision is not taken lightly. Parents, children, and healthcare providers consult thoughtfully before embarking on such a personal journey. It isn’t about politics. It’s about the private, deeply personal choices regarding a child’s health and identity.
The notion that this bill is simply protecting children is disingenuous. Employing such a title is just another tactic, clear and straightforward, aimed at swaying public opinion by obscuring the true implications of its enactment.
It is crucial to understand that gender is not strictly binary. Science tells us that gender involves an intricate interplay of biology, identity, and culture. Historically and across different societies, the concept of gender has been fluid and evolving. To reduce gender to a binary system is not only scientifically unsound but also culturally myopic.
Equating gender-affirming treatments with other forms of non-consensual interventions is not only incorrect but dangerously misleading. Such care, considered consensual, is proven to significantly enhance the mental health and overall well-being of individuals who receive it. On the other hand, withholding medically recommended care can lead to severe psychological distress and an increased risk of depression and suicidality. The dialogue around this issue must shift from misleading rhetoric to an informed discussion based on facts and compassion. Gender-affirming care is not an ideological whim but a critical, life-affirming medical practice that seeks to align individuals’ bodies with their true selves, fostering a life of authenticity and happiness.
The time has come for clarity and honesty in how we discuss and legislate on matters of gender and health. Misleading narratives serve only to harm those most in need of our understanding and support. Let’s commit to a discourse that uplifts and provides for all community members based on truth and scientific understanding.
Former Georgia Governor, Republican Geoff Duncan, stated, “Marjorie Taylor Greene is part of the Ponzi scheme called, “Donald Trump,” It’s this fear-mongering; it’s the hot air that doesn’t solve any problem. I think America is starting to see through it.” Let’s hope so!
Republican Senator Tho Willis on Marjorie Taylor Greene: “I think she’s uninformed; she is a total waste of time. She is a horrible leader. She is dragging our brand down…”
I will close with this stellar country song that perfectly sums up my feelings about MTG. Don’t skip over it. It’s brilliant!
When your IQ test comes back negative.🤣 Love that! Well written, Stacy! I concur. OMG, she is just so infuriating!
