Trump’s Justice Is Anything But

CNN’s reporting announced that the Department of Justice has fired Maurene Comey. . .yes, that Maurene Comey, daughter of the guy Trump fired from the FBI like a wannabe mob boss cleaning house, and more importantly, the prosecutor who took on Ghislaine Maxwell and the Jeffrey Epstein circus before that freak show conveniently imploded in his cell.

Now, if you’re not raising your eyebrows so hard they knock your reading glasses off, you’re not paying attention.

Let’s be clear: firing Maurene Comey is not just a bureaucratic reshuffle. This isn’t changing out the coffee filters in the break room. This is a warning shot. This is a slow-motion Friday night news dump in heels. And it smells like something crawled out of Mar-a-Lago, wrapped in an NDA, and died under a pile of redacted documents.

Now, I know we’re supposed to pretend this is all normal. That firing the prosecutor who helped bring Ghislaine Maxwell to justice and was neck-deep in the Epstein files just happens. Sure. And Rudy Giuliani is a sober librarian.

Comey was one of the few people left in government who still believed in prosecuting crime instead of committing it. She went after Epstein and Maxwell when it was politically risky and legally treacherous.

She dug into a case surrounded by billionaires, power brokers, and more secret flight logs than a James Bond movie. And then suddenly, just as the walls feel like they might be inching closer to someone with a Florida zip code, she’s shown the door?

Alright? Move along? Nothing to see here, folks?

If you believe this has nothing to do with Trump, I have a perfectly used Bible he once fake-prayed with in front of St. John’s Church to sell you. It’s signed, (possibly by someone else).

This is a pattern. Trump doesn’t just fire people. He cleanses. He purges anyone who might ask him a hard question, prosecute a friend, or God forbid, read his tax returns.

He did it with James Comey. He did it with inspectors general. He did it with career diplomats and Pentagon officials who wouldn’t kiss the ring or help him cook up foreign dirt on rivals. And now, apparently, he’s doing it through friends still burrowed deep in the DOJ like ticks after a Georgia summer.

And let’s not pretend this doesn’t reek of the Epstein “situation.” The man was a walking liability with a guest list longer than a Super Bowl halftime show. Royalty. CEOs. Scientists. Oh, and Trump himself. Remember that quote? “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy.”

Then, when things went sideways, suddenly Trump barely knew the guy. Like a bad Tinder date, just poof! . . . never happened.

Firing Maurene Comey now, when she may have been one of the few people capable of connecting those elite dots still floating in the Epstein ether, isn’t just shady. It’s neon-lit Vegas-level shady. It’s political witness tampering, except the witness is the law itself

What’s next? Are we going to replace prosecutors with Trump’s golf buddies? Are we going to let Jared Kushner audit the Supreme Court? Or maybe we’ll get Ivanka to chair a special committee on ethics?

This isn’t about one lawyer. It’s about the rule of law being slowly chloroformed while we argue about gas prices and Hunter Biden’s laptop. It’s about whether our justice system still functions when rich men with bad tans and bottomless legal war chests are involved.

If Trump gets a third term, or even the whiff of one, expect more of this. Expect more firings, more revenge, more untouchable crimes cloaked in presidential privilege and Fox News outrage. And if you’re not terrified, you’re not paying attention

Or maybe you just haven’t been invited to Epstein’s island.
